Audacity has an advanced range of predefined tools, which allows you to edit already recorded files, capture sounds via the attached microphone, or even podcasts or stream music. It supports a broad range of audio formats for both exporting and importing, plus an impressive amount of built-in effect.

To change your voice with Audacity, follow the steps below;

Note: Since Audacity is strictly an audio software, you would first need to detach the audio from the original video and then use Audacity to import the audio file before editing.

Step 1: Launch Audacity and import the audio file.

Step 2: Using the sound waves track, select the entire audio file you want to edit.

Step 3: Go to Effect and select Change Pitch from the menu

Step 4: In the Change Pitch box, to transform your voice simply increase or decrease the pitch as shown below:

To make your voice louder, increase the pitch by moving it to the right. Conversely, to make your voice sound lower, decrease the pitch by moving it to the left.

To change the speed of the audio, go to Effects and then select Change Speed from the drop-down menu.

Similar to the pitch tool, moving the speed mark to the left will reduce the speed of your voice and moving it to the right will increase the speed of your voice.
