Want to download some free green screen video footage for your video project?

Then you’re in the right place.

Because today I’m going to show you top 5 websites that I use to download quality royalty-free green screen video footage.

The best part?

This isn’t just another compilation of so called “FREE” list which actually doesn’t allow you any chance to use footages for free.

I personally tested all the resources listed below and had success in downloading free clips with each one of them.

Along with the list I will also include a step-by-step tutorial showing you how you can use each website yourself. Let’s do this!

1.  Videoblocks:

Videoblocks is a stock video brokerage website that has a massive number of stock footage, motion backgrounds, special effects, after effects templates and more. The green screen footage that’s available here covers many different subjects and it’s all available for free use.

To begin using this free resource you will need to sign up for a seven-day free trial.

Note: Creating a full member’s file with a valid credit card number is essential to accessing these resources but keep in mind your credit card will not be charged right away. The best strategy is to download the clips that you need and then cancel your service before the end of the seven-day trial.

You can browse through hundreds of thousands of clips even throughout the trial and download any of these member resources for free that you would have access to as a fully paid member.

How to Download Footage from VideoBlocks?

Follow the steps below to download and use free clips on VideoBlocks:

Step1. Go to the VideoBlocks official website by clicking the button below.

Step2. On the homepage, click Get Started to enter a subscription info page.

Step3. Select the cheapest subscription plan and Sign up for a 7 day free trial account (you will need to enter your email, password, as well as credit card info to register).

Step4. Once you finish signup, hit the Login button located in the upper right corner to login. Then go back to the homepage, type in the keywords in the search box to search the footages you want.

(Note: if you want free resources only you have to filter to only show footages from “Member Library”. Resources from “Marketplace” need extra fee.)

Step5. Select a green screen footage and enter the detail product page. There click the “Download” button to download directly.

2.  Youtube:

There is even a decent selection of 4K clips, motion graphics, looping gifs and more which can all be great for producing web content.

You can mess around with most of the resources on your own and with files that are completely free use.

The files can also be posted whatever way that you may want as long as you mention Hollywood Camera work in the credits. The clips must be edited however and you can’t link directly to the clips or host the clips yourself, attributing it as your work.
